Beauty on a budget!

Everyone loves a good bargain, and I know a lot of people don't like to spend a ton on beauty products. Over the years I have found some really good beauty products that are so cheap, they can fit into anyones budget!

I'll start off with face make-up; a great affordable foundation is the Maybelline Fit Me, also the Fit Me concealer is great! The Fit Me foundation gives a really nice, natural finish. It's not overly dewy, and it doesn't leave you super matte. It just enhances your skin and blurs imperfections. The Fit Me concealer is a great drugstore, affordable concealer. It's highly pigmented and covers very well, but not cakey or drying.

Some great affordable blushes are the Elf Studio, the Elf Baked Blush, and regular Elf blushes. the Studio blushes are $3 and the baked and regular blushes are $2. They're highly pigmented and flattering for tons of skin tones. The only bad thing about this line is they don't have a ton of shade ranges, but all the shades are still beautiful. Some other great blushes are the Wet and Wild blushes. They are VERY pigmented and a little goes a long ways, but like the Elf blushes, they only have a few shades.

One of favorite bronzer is a super cheap one, NYC Sunny bronzer! Also, they make one of my favorite translucent powders which is NYC Smooth Skin Translucent powder. I think both of these products are around $2-$3. The Sunny bronzer is a great matte bronzer that doesn't look muddy or very obvious that you're wearing bronzer. I really love the Translucent powder because it keeps you matte if you're overly oily, and maintains a really natural look since you're not adding additional color to your face.

I have a couple favorite brands that I like to go to for really cheap, but great quality eyeshadows. The Essence Beauty eyeshadows are so buttery, easy to blend, and highly pigmented shadows. The Wet and Wild eyeshadows also have the same qualities. Essence Beauty is a tricky brand to find. When I'm looking for the brand I tend to only see it at Ulta, and occasionally HEB! I think Wet and Wild is fairly easier to find than Essence so either shadows are high quality and CHEAP!

My holy grail, absolute favorite eyeliners of all time are the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner. These eyeliners are about $4 and they last so long! They're waterproof, they blend beautifully, they don't collect in the corners of your eyes, they don't bleed, and my favorite thing of all, they aren't difficult to remove at the end of the day! I have tried so many expensive eyeliners and they don't even compare to this Rimmel one! Scandaleyes liners beat out the Make-Up Forever waterproof liners, the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, the MAC liners, the Smashbox liners, etc (in my opinion!). I've tried them all and I think these are better!

Essence and Wet and Wild also make great lip products. The Essence Stay With Me glosses are some of my favorite glosses and they're only about $2. Along with the Essence XXL Shine glosses. The Wet and Wild Megalast lipsticks ARE THE BOMB. They're so creamy, pigmented, pretty long lasting, and CHEAP! They're about $3.

I know everyone loves feeling fancy with high end products, but when it's on your face, no one can tell if it's high end or one of these cheap products I've mentioned! So hopefully you'll try some of these affordable options and fall in love with them!

Have fun!

UD Naked3! Review and Swatches

So once I heard that Urban Decay was coming out with a Naked 3 palette, I immediately added it to my Christmas wish list! Now, I have all the previous Naked palettes (Naked 1, 2, and basics) so I thought I was at a pretty good advantage for reviewing the third one!

Now, as many of you probably heard, this palette is all rose-toned eye shadows that can create anywhere from an easy daytime look, to a super dramatic eye look.

The Naked line is a known as an everyday neutral palette that can be used for a wide variety of looks. Naked one is a more of a deeper, brownish tones, Naked2 has more cooler, taupe shades but still fairly similar to the first Naked pallet.

[from left to right] Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart.

I really like this palette because it is so different from the first two. Urban Decay didn't repeat any shades like they did in the first and second palette, and they really steered away from the brown-taupe shades that are a big staple in the first two.

I also really like how this palette is so versatile for all different skin types. My mom, my sisters, my cousins, and myself all use this palette and we all love it. Our skin tones really vary in shades too so I really got to see all the different variations you can create with this palette with different skin tones.

My overall verdict, of this palette is, it's worth every penny. Its so unique and different from the other Naked palettes, and just overall different from all my other palettes that I wouldn't want to pass this up. It's $52, but you get 12 full sized eyeshadows that last a really long time!

If you're looking to splurge on some new eyeshadows I would definitely give this one a shot. It's very beautiful and unique it's hard to pass up!

Have fun!

Beauty items you NEED to be washing!

So, I know some people wash their make-up brushes religiously, and some have never even thought to wash their brushes!
BUT! There are some other beauty items you really should be washing besides your brushes!

First off, obviously you need to wash your make-up brushes. I prefer to wash mine with the Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil bar soap. This soap is super cheap (around $2 for 2 bars of soap!). I like washing my make-up brushes with bar soap the best because it really lathers up and deep cleans my brushes all the way down to the base of the brush. The tea tree oil really kills any bacteria thats lingering on your brushes! I know some people like to use Baby Shampoo to was their brushes, but honestly my hands get extra pruned when using baby shampoo! If you don't want to use baby shampoo, Dove soap works just as well :)

Next, you should really wash your hairbrush. Your hairbrush sees your hair at a million different states. Wet, dry, clean, dirty, oily, gross, etc. Your brush builds up a lot of product and oils that can make your hair dirty when it's clean, or more dirty when it's dirty! I usually take some gently, foamy hand soap and let it lather and just simply rinse it off.

After your brushes, you should wash your hair tools. Curling irons, curling wands, flat irons, etc. Those build up oils and product residue also that can make your hair gross! You can simply clean these items by using some rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad or cotton ball and clean your irons!

Also, you should clean your lipsticks! This sounds silly but if you let other people use your lipstick. or if you are sick, or just simply have new germs, you should clean your lipstick! Just like cleaning your heat styling tools, you just get a little rubbing alcohol onto a cotton pad or cotton ball and wipe off the first layer!

I clean all of my brushes, heat styling tools, lipsticks, all at different times. I will usually deep clean my brushes about every two-three weeks. I clean my hairbrushes, and heat styling tools weekly, and my lipsticks that I constantly use about every week also.

Have fun cleaning!

REVIEW! An interesting make-up remover!

A few weeks ago my mom introduced me to a make-up remover she has been using for quite some time now.

I have been pretty interested in beauty balms and I was thinking of picking one of from Clinique that I have had my eye on for a while. I was telling my mom about it and she whipped out this little jar of magic for me to try.

It's called Albolene. I have never heard of this product before but she said it's been around forever.
Albolene says that it's a moisturizing cleanser, which I find to be true. It removes your make-up so easily and quickly and leaves your skin so soft afterwards.

How you use this product is, you get a damp towel and simply dip the towel into the jar and wipe away your makeup. The first time I tried this I got my whole face wet and try to lather up the product onto my skin which did NOT work! It honestly scared me a little bit! haha. The second time I tried it I used it with the damp towel and my make-up just dissolved (even waterproof mascara!). You can leave this product on your face to double as a moisturizer, but I have a daily cleansing routine that I'm religious to so I cant imagine just leaving this on my skin, but my mom leaves it on and she loves it!

After the first time I used this product it took my make-up off so well that when I used my toner right after, there was no dirt or make-up on my cotton pad!

The consistency is a little jelly like, and fairly oily so thats why I was having trouble with it when I used it with water.

Cute puppy photobomb :)

My mom bought this at Walgreens for about $12, I haven't checked it out myself yet but I take her word for it :) It's a 12oz tub so it lasts absolutely forever. I'm sure you can find it at CVS, amazon, etc.

I'm dedicated to this product now and it's such a great drugstore find, and hopefully you'll love it too!

Have fun!

Best of the Best! Lipsticks

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm a huge mascara junkie! But after mascara, I think I'm a pretty huge lipstick junkie! I just think lipstick is one of those things that you can't have too many of. These are my five favorite lipsticks ever!

5. Revlon Pink Sugar
Pink Sugar is a really nice mix between a nude and a pink. It's pretty shimmery, so I usually wear it on its own, rather than with a gloss, but you can do whatever you want!

4. Milani Flirty Fuchsia
I love a hot pink lip, and Flirty Fuchsia is by far my favorite pink in my collection! It's really bright, but yet blue toned so it makes your teeth look whiter! I think this is a pink that any skin tone can pull off.

3. MAC Rebel
I guess I should let you know now, I LOVE bold lips. Rebel is the perfect mix of a dark, yet bright lipstick. It's a dark plumy-pinky color that I love to whip out when the weather cools down.

2. Milani Dulce Caramelo
This is the most perfect nude shade. It's pretty much a "my lips but better" color but with a hint of gold shimmer!

1. MAC Ruby Woo
Ruby Woo is by far my favorite lipstick of all time! It's such a beautiful red color that is so flattering on everyone. It's a blue toned red, so it'll make your teeth look white also! But it's also matte, which is how I like to wear my bold lipsticks!

Just a tip! If you ever want to make your lipstick matte, or more matte just use some powder over your lips or the same shade eyeshadow on your lips. For example if you are wearing a creamy red lip, if you have a red eyeshadow, or cranberry eyeshadow around simply press it onto your lips and it will give your lipstick more dimension and matte! If you don't have a matching eyeshadow, just use a translucent powder or simply your face powder onto your lips!

If you're scared of bold lips, hopefully you'll try these because they honestly look so good on everyone! Have fun!

Best of the Best: MASCARA!

I've decided to start a new little series on my blog called "Best of the Best!" I decided to start it out with Mascara, so I'll be telling you five of my absolute my favorite mascaras that I always go back to!

5. MAKE-UP FOREVER Smoky Lash Mascara
This mascara is a fairly dry formula, so you can either have a natural lash, or build it for a pretty dramatic lash with this product. I really love this mascara because all you need is a few coats to really achieve a great looking lash. This mascara is a volumizing mascara, but will hold a curl very well if you  use an eyelash curler.

4. Lancome Hypnose Mascara
I feel like this mascara is constantly hyped up, but for a very good reason! This mascara is such an all in one mascara. It volumizes, and lengthens in just a couple coats, and isn't too difficult to take off!

3. Maybelline the Falsies Mascara
This mascara is so cheap, and gets the job done so well when it comes to mascara. Is is a fairly wet formula, so it takes a couple days to dry up a little bit and really gives you the effect you want. It takes me a few coats to get the lashes that I like with this mascara, but the effect it gives is so worth it!

2. L'Oreal Shocking Extensions Mascara
The Shocking Extensions mascara is one of those make-up items that I cannot live without. It makes my lashes so long with just a couple coats. It holds a curl all day, and is easy to wash off!

1. L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
This is seriously the best mascara that I have ever used. I think I started using this mascara when I was about 14! It gives you the most voluminous, and thick lashes in just a couple coats. It feels like a high-end mascara, and gives better results than some of my expensive mascaras. This mascara really reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara, it's a pretty good dupe! L'Oreal Voluminous is always in my make-up bag!

I hope you found this helpful, and encourage you to try out some new mascaras if you haven't tried any of these out before!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

REVIEW! Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

Y'all, I have a new all time favorite mascara. It might be the best drugstore mascara I've ever used. It's the Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara.

Maybelline has the best drugstore mascaras in my opinion. I prefer them to all my high end mascaras! This mascara is a duel ended tube, one for your top lashes and a tiny wand for your bottom lashes.

It seriously gives so much length and volume it makes my eyes look so much bigger! Hence the name, 'Big Eyes'. If you read my last blog post you're probably thinking I said the Flamed Out mascara is my new favorite. Well once that dried out I picked up this one and never looked back!

This mascara is about $6 at any drugstore and so worth the cheap price tag! The only bad thing about this mascara is the small tube of product you actually get, so it dries out quicker and overall just runs out of the product quicker. But with the price being so low, it doesn't bother me!

If you're running low on mascara, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed!
