REVIEW! An interesting make-up remover!

A few weeks ago my mom introduced me to a make-up remover she has been using for quite some time now.

I have been pretty interested in beauty balms and I was thinking of picking one of from Clinique that I have had my eye on for a while. I was telling my mom about it and she whipped out this little jar of magic for me to try.

It's called Albolene. I have never heard of this product before but she said it's been around forever.
Albolene says that it's a moisturizing cleanser, which I find to be true. It removes your make-up so easily and quickly and leaves your skin so soft afterwards.

How you use this product is, you get a damp towel and simply dip the towel into the jar and wipe away your makeup. The first time I tried this I got my whole face wet and try to lather up the product onto my skin which did NOT work! It honestly scared me a little bit! haha. The second time I tried it I used it with the damp towel and my make-up just dissolved (even waterproof mascara!). You can leave this product on your face to double as a moisturizer, but I have a daily cleansing routine that I'm religious to so I cant imagine just leaving this on my skin, but my mom leaves it on and she loves it!

After the first time I used this product it took my make-up off so well that when I used my toner right after, there was no dirt or make-up on my cotton pad!

The consistency is a little jelly like, and fairly oily so thats why I was having trouble with it when I used it with water.

Cute puppy photobomb :)

My mom bought this at Walgreens for about $12, I haven't checked it out myself yet but I take her word for it :) It's a 12oz tub so it lasts absolutely forever. I'm sure you can find it at CVS, amazon, etc.

I'm dedicated to this product now and it's such a great drugstore find, and hopefully you'll love it too!

Have fun!

Best of the Best! Lipsticks

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm a huge mascara junkie! But after mascara, I think I'm a pretty huge lipstick junkie! I just think lipstick is one of those things that you can't have too many of. These are my five favorite lipsticks ever!

5. Revlon Pink Sugar
Pink Sugar is a really nice mix between a nude and a pink. It's pretty shimmery, so I usually wear it on its own, rather than with a gloss, but you can do whatever you want!

4. Milani Flirty Fuchsia
I love a hot pink lip, and Flirty Fuchsia is by far my favorite pink in my collection! It's really bright, but yet blue toned so it makes your teeth look whiter! I think this is a pink that any skin tone can pull off.

3. MAC Rebel
I guess I should let you know now, I LOVE bold lips. Rebel is the perfect mix of a dark, yet bright lipstick. It's a dark plumy-pinky color that I love to whip out when the weather cools down.

2. Milani Dulce Caramelo
This is the most perfect nude shade. It's pretty much a "my lips but better" color but with a hint of gold shimmer!

1. MAC Ruby Woo
Ruby Woo is by far my favorite lipstick of all time! It's such a beautiful red color that is so flattering on everyone. It's a blue toned red, so it'll make your teeth look white also! But it's also matte, which is how I like to wear my bold lipsticks!

Just a tip! If you ever want to make your lipstick matte, or more matte just use some powder over your lips or the same shade eyeshadow on your lips. For example if you are wearing a creamy red lip, if you have a red eyeshadow, or cranberry eyeshadow around simply press it onto your lips and it will give your lipstick more dimension and matte! If you don't have a matching eyeshadow, just use a translucent powder or simply your face powder onto your lips!

If you're scared of bold lips, hopefully you'll try these because they honestly look so good on everyone! Have fun!

Best of the Best: MASCARA!

I've decided to start a new little series on my blog called "Best of the Best!" I decided to start it out with Mascara, so I'll be telling you five of my absolute my favorite mascaras that I always go back to!

5. MAKE-UP FOREVER Smoky Lash Mascara
This mascara is a fairly dry formula, so you can either have a natural lash, or build it for a pretty dramatic lash with this product. I really love this mascara because all you need is a few coats to really achieve a great looking lash. This mascara is a volumizing mascara, but will hold a curl very well if you  use an eyelash curler.

4. Lancome Hypnose Mascara
I feel like this mascara is constantly hyped up, but for a very good reason! This mascara is such an all in one mascara. It volumizes, and lengthens in just a couple coats, and isn't too difficult to take off!

3. Maybelline the Falsies Mascara
This mascara is so cheap, and gets the job done so well when it comes to mascara. Is is a fairly wet formula, so it takes a couple days to dry up a little bit and really gives you the effect you want. It takes me a few coats to get the lashes that I like with this mascara, but the effect it gives is so worth it!

2. L'Oreal Shocking Extensions Mascara
The Shocking Extensions mascara is one of those make-up items that I cannot live without. It makes my lashes so long with just a couple coats. It holds a curl all day, and is easy to wash off!

1. L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
This is seriously the best mascara that I have ever used. I think I started using this mascara when I was about 14! It gives you the most voluminous, and thick lashes in just a couple coats. It feels like a high-end mascara, and gives better results than some of my expensive mascaras. This mascara really reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara, it's a pretty good dupe! L'Oreal Voluminous is always in my make-up bag!

I hope you found this helpful, and encourage you to try out some new mascaras if you haven't tried any of these out before!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

REVIEW! Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

Y'all, I have a new all time favorite mascara. It might be the best drugstore mascara I've ever used. It's the Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara.

Maybelline has the best drugstore mascaras in my opinion. I prefer them to all my high end mascaras! This mascara is a duel ended tube, one for your top lashes and a tiny wand for your bottom lashes.

It seriously gives so much length and volume it makes my eyes look so much bigger! Hence the name, 'Big Eyes'. If you read my last blog post you're probably thinking I said the Flamed Out mascara is my new favorite. Well once that dried out I picked up this one and never looked back!

This mascara is about $6 at any drugstore and so worth the cheap price tag! The only bad thing about this mascara is the small tube of product you actually get, so it dries out quicker and overall just runs out of the product quicker. But with the price being so low, it doesn't bother me!

If you're running low on mascara, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed!

REVIEW! Covergirl Flamed Out mascara

All summer long I have been trying out different waterproof mascaras. I wear waterproof in the summer to help my eye makeup not smudge in the HOT HOT HEAT we have right now! Also, isn’t it such a pain when you spontaneously go swimming and then mascara slides down your face the whole time?

At the beginning of July I bought the new Covergirl Flamed Out mascara in the shade Very Black. I hadn’t really heard much of this mascara so I was pretty much in the dark when it came to knowing anything about it. It claims to add curl and volume to your lashes.

I got the waterproof version, and I was really surprised on how it held up! I think it’s actually water resistant so it washes off very easily which I love, but held up in the pool and lake! It added TONS of length and volume to my lashes and didn’t clump them all together. And since it is waterproof it holds a curl very well.

The only downside to this mascara is I haven’t even had it a full month yet, and it started drying out around the third week after I bought it, so it doesn’t have a very long life after you open the tube!

This mascara is only about $5 so it’s not a huge deal to get another once it dries up! I highly recommend this mascara if you’re in the market for a great waterproof mascara!

May Favorites!

My goal for the month of June is to blog a lot more! I neglected it once finals started and never really got back on track with blogging. So why not start off June on a good note with some May favorites!

The Milani lipstick in Dulce Caramelo was pretty much the only lipstick I wore the entire month of May! It’s a beautiful nude with gold shimmer in it-perfect for summer! I paired it with a nude lip gloss over the top and it was gorgeous! These lipsticks smell INCREDIBLE! And they’re only about $5 at the drugstore!

My favorite nail polish of the month was Essie’s Under Where It’s a really beautiful opaque lilac color that looks beautiful with a tan! This color really works well with all skin tones and will be one of my go to nail polishes all summer! This nail polish was on sale at H-E-B for $3! But I know everywhere else it is still $7-$8 a bottle.

Since its getting really hot and humid outside, I’ve been taking extra good care of my hair lately! I have been really in love with the It’s a 10 Leave in Conditioner. It is so nourishing and leaves your hair feeling silky soft. This stuff is great for the summer time for your hair because it really helps with split and dry ends. I bought mine on sale at H-E-B for $15, so I’m not 100% sure how much the full retail price is!

Revlon Lash Potion is my new favorite mascara! It gives great length, gives your lashes lots of thickness, and it’s a very black mascara! Plus the packaging is gorgeous! This mascara is about $5 at the drugstore!

My go to favorite spring/summer scent is PINK Beach Sun Kissed body spray! This fragrance smells like vacation! It has a lot of coconut and sweetness to it! I love it! This is either $12-$15 at Victoria’s Secret. I bought mine last year so I can’t remember how much I paid for it!

Even though its very hot and humid outside my hands still get really dry! But, since it is so hot outside I hate using my thicker hand creams in the summer so I bought the Bath and Body Works Fresh Picked hand cream in Tangerine.  This hand cream is $5, you get a ton of product, and it smells SO GOOD! It really moisturizes my hands without leaving them feeling greasy or sweaty! Haha that sounds really gross!

I hope you enjoyed my May favorites! If you’re out and you see one of these products, pick it up! I know you’ll love it!

Colors of the Rainbow Tag!

So, I’ve seen this tag going around YouTube a lot recently, and I usually don’t really like tags (I find them annoying!) but this one really caught my attention and I thought it was so cute I had to do it!

The first color is Red, and I chose the Wella Brilliance Leave in Balm. This is just a leave in conditioner that leaves my hair SO soft and smooth. This product really helped out my split ends and honestly since I started using this, I haven’t had any split ends!

Orange- Wet and Wild Mega Last nail polish in Club Havana this is suuuuuch a beautiful orange color! I know orange is a tough color to pull off on the nails but it works really well on my olive complexion. I love these nail polishes! They last forever, they’re smooth to work with, and they’re only like $3!

Yellow- Alba Pineapple Enzyme facial scrub this is my favorite scrub in the world! It smells like you are on vacation, it really deep cleans your pores, and leaves you with really soft skin.

Green- I cheated a little bit on this one but I couldn’t find anything else green that I really loved! So I had to choose based on the packaging, but I chose the Maybelline Great Lash Clear mascara. I love setting my brows with this stuff. It keeps them in place and really polished looking all day. I even on days when I don’t fill in my brows, I still brush through them with this and it leaves my face looking really put together and finished.

Blue- This one was easy! I chose Moroccan Argan Oil. I have used Moroccan oil on my hair forever. It keeps my hair sleek and shiny, and just really healthy. I highly recommend this product for any hair type!

Indigo- Tarte Maracuja oil. I use maracuja oil every night before bed in place of a moisturizer. It is a dry oil that you just rub all over your face when you are done washing your face for the night. It scared me a little at first to put on because I have really oily skin, but I’m convinced this helped control my oil. I have used this product for almost a year and I have noticed a huge difference in my skins evenness, and texture, and it controls breakouts. Also, I'm not too sure this is indigo, so if it's not lets just pretend it is! :)

Violet- NYC waterproof eyeliner in Smoky Plum, mixed with Wet and Wild Coloricon eyeshadow in kitten. I like to use these two products under the lower lash line for just a pop of color. I think purple looks best on my skin tone and eyes. Since I don’t use a whole lot of color in my make-up looks I like to use cheap drugstore products that work well to get the job done when I am craving some color!

Pink- For pink I chose MAC Candy Yum Yum. If you don’t like bright, basically neon lipsticks stay away from this one! This is the brightest pink lipstick I own, and it’s matte! I think it is just beautiful! A lot of people I know tell me all the time how much they hate this lipstick because it is so bright but I really love it!
So that was the cute Colors of the Rainbow tag! By the time this goes up everyone will probably be super tired of hearing about this tag! Haha! All of these products are products I really and truely love and I hope you try some of them out!
