Colors of the Rainbow Tag!

So, I’ve seen this tag going around YouTube a lot recently, and I usually don’t really like tags (I find them annoying!) but this one really caught my attention and I thought it was so cute I had to do it!

The first color is Red, and I chose the Wella Brilliance Leave in Balm. This is just a leave in conditioner that leaves my hair SO soft and smooth. This product really helped out my split ends and honestly since I started using this, I haven’t had any split ends!

Orange- Wet and Wild Mega Last nail polish in Club Havana this is suuuuuch a beautiful orange color! I know orange is a tough color to pull off on the nails but it works really well on my olive complexion. I love these nail polishes! They last forever, they’re smooth to work with, and they’re only like $3!

Yellow- Alba Pineapple Enzyme facial scrub this is my favorite scrub in the world! It smells like you are on vacation, it really deep cleans your pores, and leaves you with really soft skin.

Green- I cheated a little bit on this one but I couldn’t find anything else green that I really loved! So I had to choose based on the packaging, but I chose the Maybelline Great Lash Clear mascara. I love setting my brows with this stuff. It keeps them in place and really polished looking all day. I even on days when I don’t fill in my brows, I still brush through them with this and it leaves my face looking really put together and finished.

Blue- This one was easy! I chose Moroccan Argan Oil. I have used Moroccan oil on my hair forever. It keeps my hair sleek and shiny, and just really healthy. I highly recommend this product for any hair type!

Indigo- Tarte Maracuja oil. I use maracuja oil every night before bed in place of a moisturizer. It is a dry oil that you just rub all over your face when you are done washing your face for the night. It scared me a little at first to put on because I have really oily skin, but I’m convinced this helped control my oil. I have used this product for almost a year and I have noticed a huge difference in my skins evenness, and texture, and it controls breakouts. Also, I'm not too sure this is indigo, so if it's not lets just pretend it is! :)

Violet- NYC waterproof eyeliner in Smoky Plum, mixed with Wet and Wild Coloricon eyeshadow in kitten. I like to use these two products under the lower lash line for just a pop of color. I think purple looks best on my skin tone and eyes. Since I don’t use a whole lot of color in my make-up looks I like to use cheap drugstore products that work well to get the job done when I am craving some color!

Pink- For pink I chose MAC Candy Yum Yum. If you don’t like bright, basically neon lipsticks stay away from this one! This is the brightest pink lipstick I own, and it’s matte! I think it is just beautiful! A lot of people I know tell me all the time how much they hate this lipstick because it is so bright but I really love it!
So that was the cute Colors of the Rainbow tag! By the time this goes up everyone will probably be super tired of hearing about this tag! Haha! All of these products are products I really and truely love and I hope you try some of them out!

APRIL FAVORITES!

I know this post is SUPER late since it is already the second week of May but I really wanted to share some of the beauty products I have been really impressed with the past month!

Benefit POREfessional Primer
I    I love this primer! I have used it before and I just forgot how good it actually was! It keeps me matte all day (I have really oily skin!) and really shrinks the appearance of pores. It makes your skin feel so velvety and nice after you apply it. It is pretty expensive though. Its $30, but its worth it to me if it keeps me matte all day!

L’Oreal True Match foundation
I think the last time I used this foundation was in 9th grade maybe? I don’t know why I felt like trying it again all these years later but I’m so happy I did! It gives me the most incredible glow without making me look shiny or splotchy. It stays fresh all day and doesn’t make me oily at all! I’m really enjoying this foundation! And it’s only $8 or $9 at the drugstore!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me
This is my FAVORITE lip balm ever! It makes your lips so soft and perfect and gives you a really subtle color on your lips. Plus it’s only like $2! This is a definite summer must have!

Model in a Bottle
I have heard about this product for years and I don’t know why it took me so long to try it. Now if you’re like me and have REALLY oily skin and even though you prime, wear oil free foundation, use a setting powder, and you still get shiny at times, this is your answer! Model in a Bottle is basically hairspray for your face! Your make-up isn’t going anywhere. You spray it all over your face after you are done with your make-up, give it 30 seconds to dry, and then you’re good to go! Your makeup will last all day! I bought this on Amazon for $13 and I’m not too sure where else you can get this except for there!

Rimmel ScandalEYES Jumbo Eye Shadow stick in Bulletproof Beige
These are GREAT eye shadow bases for super cheap! I got mine for $5 at Target. They are beautiful to wear on their own or wear them under eye shadows for a more vibrant shadow that will stay on all day. This line doesn’t have a huge range of neutral colors, but if you see something you like, pick it up because they’re worth it!

Olay Fresh Effects face wipes
This month I decided to put my Simple face wipes away and try something new. I really like these Olay face wipes. They smell really good and take off more make-up than the Simple ones! And they are a couple bucks cheaper than the Simple wipes. The only bad thing about these wipes is they burn my eyes really bad! I guess it is the fragrance on them that really aggravates my eyes but it isn’t something that I can’t handle!

So those were my April favorites! I know it’s late but I finally found some time to write a new blog post since this past semester is over! Woo hoo!
